Position Title: Potato Grader / Harvester

About the Role

We are seeking reliable and hardworking Potato Graders / Harvest Workers to join our team. This role involves working on a production line inspecting and grading potatoes fresh from the farm, as well as assisting with harvesting duties when required.

Key Responsibilities

Grading & Packing Duties:



Inspect potatoes on a conveyor line as they arrive from the farm



Classify potatoes according to size, quality, and grade standards



Remove damaged, diseased, or poor-quality potatoes



Ensure only quality produce is prepared for sale and distribution



Maintain a clean and organised work area



Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times

Harvesting Duties:



Assist with harvesting potatoes in the field



Pick and collect potatoes according to supervisor instructions



Load harvested produce into bins or containers



Support general farm labour tasks as required



Operate basic farm equipment (if trained and authorised)

Skills & Requirements



Ability to work in a fast-paced environment



Good attention to detail



Physically fit and able to stand for long periods



Comfortable working in outdoor and factory environments



Reliable and punctual



Ability to work as part of a team

Desirable (but not essential)



Previous experience in farming, harvesting, or food production



Understanding of quality control processes
